Today’s Scottish Cup Final is the first without Glen Michael in a hundred years. I’m of the age of remembering when Glen was part of Cup Final day which seemed to start in the morning on the telly. Now you get 45 minutes of pish preamble undoubtedly featuring Scott Brown.

Thankfully Glen’s trusty talking lamp Paladin was still able to spout out a prediction.

Is he wrong? Let’s delve a little deeper. The two managers have had their final press conferences.

The assembled media was left stunned when Neil Lennon turned up in a silver suit and club tie but no shirt. He truly is a fashion icon.

Of course both managers know each other very well.

Who are the players to look out for? The men who could swing it for their team.

It’s Daizen’s last game for the club so he’s bound to score. Ernie will dominate the midfield. Jamesy is the supersub that puts nails in coffins. That just leaves Trusty and Scales to see out the rest of the game in the most boring way possible.

Alternatively…

Aston Oxborough saves everything coming at him. Chris Kane terrorises the two bungling Celtic centre backs. Tod, Todd and Tod turn defence into attack and have a tremendous workrate. Could they turn the game Dunfermline’s way?

Shoutout to the Edinburgh Derby which could decide the destination of the SWPL title which comes down to the last game again. I think it’s on Alba at 1.10 on Sunday with Rangers v Glasgow City on iPlayer. Helicopter Sunday without the helicopter.
