Dull Match Report
Making the mundane sound dramatic
Hello
Aberdeen v Celtic ended 1-2 which was not in any way unexpected. If you thought that Celtic might kick on from the second half at Ibrix then you’d be mistaken. It’s fair to say they’re going to make hard work of every game for the rest of this season. That’s just who they are for now. Get the blood pressure monitors out Celtic fans.
It didn’t take them long to take the lead as the Aberdeen defence was posted missing at a set piece for the umpteenth time this season. If you catch a replay check out the effort from Stuart Armstrong.

Here’s a 2026 thing. I’m not really gaining any new subscribers this year. A handful of free subscribers and paying subscribers have actually dropped by a few. This makes me awfy sad. In an effort to get this newsletter to more eyes can I ask for a couple of things please.
Likes, shares, comments help to promote the newsletter more across the Substack community so please do that if you can.
If you’re currently a free subscriber please consider switching to becoming a paying subscriber. It really does make all the difference to supporting my work.

As the first half trundled on Aberdeen grew into the game without really looking like scoring (like every week) until Liam Scales caressed the back of Olusanya’s calf with his boot.
Then we have some faux controversy to deal with. Ugh.
